The Peace Talks is an event series which aims to showcase inspirational stories of action for peace. Speakers came from diverse backgrounds, including mediators, business leaders from multinational corporations, former gang members from Central America, journalists, an Academy Award winning actor, young people and school children, particle physicist, civil society leaders, military, members of Parliaments, artists, as well as the 7th Secretary-General of the United Nations. To date there have been 14 editions of Peace Talks in 6 countries, 140 speakers, over 7500 in person attendees and more than 131 million impressions on the event’s hashtags.
Through the Abidjan Peace Talks, Interpeace, Indigo-Côte d’Ivoire and N’Zarama Center for Peacebuilding (NCP) aim to showcase inspirational stories of young Ivorians who are making extraordinary contributions to peace and security in Côte d’Ivoire, and to encourage more young people to become active agents of peace. Speakers will share their personal stories around the main theme of the event: “I build the peace I desire for Cote d’Ivoire, what about you?”
and will to speak in their personal capacity and not represent an organization or political entity.

Abidjan Peace Projections: The Abidjan Peace Talks will be recorded and the videos of the speakers will be accessible on this website. In order to bring the voices of the young speakers to a larger audience and maximize the real impact on the Ivorian Youth, projections in popular neighborhoods of Abidjan will be organized during the weeks after the event.
