Cultural Diversity as a Key to Peace

Jason ‘Timbuktu’ Diakité

Event: Stockholm Peace Talks 2015
Location: Sveriges Riksdag, Stockholm
Date: 29/01/2015

Recounting his own childhood experiences, Timbuktu looks at the dangers of intolerance and xenophobia as growing sources of conflict, not only in war zones. Instead, he maintains that society must always remain vigilant and never take peace for granted, and make the effort to see cultural diversity as a significant asset in building a peaceful future for all.
