A human rights lawyer by training, with more than twenty years’ experience in peacebuilding, Mr. Frank Kayitare has worked on a variety of thematic areas including parliamentary democracy, governance, dialogue and the nexus between mental health and peace. His has actively participated in dialogue facilitation processes in socio-political conflict contexts including Haiti, Myanmar, the Philippines(Bangsamoro Autonomous region) and several other countries in East and Southern Africa. Focusing mainly on political institutions and CSOs, Frank has contributed to institutional capacity building and partnerships management in more than 12 countries in Africa, South East Asia, the Carribean and Europe over the past two decades. Currently, he is the Country Representative of Interpeace in Rwanda, where he oversees a programme on societal healing and resilience, tackling issues such as rehabilitation and reintegration of genocide perpetrators, community reconciliation, and management of intergenerational legacies of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. He speaks Kinyarwanda, Swahili, English & French languages.
