In his Peace Talk, he shares how he discovered his calling as peacebuilding by witnessing his grandfather mediate a traditional peacebuilding meeting under and acacia tree in Somalia. Ahmed discusses his role working for Interpeace and the “bridge builder” role he plays in ensuring international activities are relevant and grounded in local needs and practices. Finally, he calls for Somalia and Somalis to work together at all levels to bring Peace and overcome the negative associations attached to their beloved country.
