A social entrepreneur and a Special Advisor at the United Nations and the We Are All Human Foundation, Claudia Edelman was interviewed by Sarah Noble, the Curator of Peace Talks. Claudia Edelman first shared how she is engaged in making a better world by using her own voice. She emphasized the importance of equity and trust by saying: “The work of We Are All Human Foundation is to remind us, that we all belong to the same family. We create a platform to remind people of that commonality.”

An 18-year-old youth activist and a Board Member of March for Our Lives, Bria Smith, joined the New York Peace Talks. She talked about how young people in society as a collective can talk about trust. She emphasized key three points to build trust: reflection, digestion, creation. “We are having so many communities not trusting each other because we are so fragmented, so different and so divisive – because we didn’t have this conversation of what trust looks like.”

Michelle is a Senior Manager at the Governance & Peace, UN Global Compact, encouraging businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies. In her own words, “Business has a significant role to play in building trust both within and outside of a company. Beyond the compliance, we need to participate actively – not only whether we have the right to do something but whether it is the right thing to do.”
