Deline Revend and Tomas Amanuel are two young facilitators from Tensta. Having grown up in Stockholm, and with Kurdish and Eritrean backgrounds respectively, Deline and Tomas have dedicated their lives to helping other young people in need. More recently, they have worked with disenfranchized and unemployed youth from Tensta to support them in accessing and finding jobs. Tomas and Deline’s stories shed light on how youth are positively contributing to making Stockholm’s suburbs a peaceful and better place.
“For me [peace] means being seen for who I am without having a plus or minus applied. It also means empathy and trying to see other people’s point of view. That’s the only way people can be at peace with themselves.”
