Biographie

Muthoni Ngure is a passionate communicator who discovered her love for words at a young age. After graduating from Daystar University with a degree in Mass Communication, Muthoni began her career working for development partners across various African countries. She quickly rose through the ranks leading the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies for various institutions, including Amref Africa, the Kenya Red Cross, Practical Action, the East African Business Council, Fairtrade Africa, and East African Breweries Limited.

One of Muthoni’s career highlights was her successful ‘Flowers for Peace’ conflict sensitisation campaign, which rallied Naivasha-based flower farms to support a communication behaviour change initiative aimed at ensuring peace prevailed before, during, and after the 2013 general elections in Kenya. Today, with 17 years of experience, Muthoni is Interpeace’s East and Central Africa’s Regional Communication Manager, where she leads communication plans and messages at the regional and country levels. She believes that words have the power to change the world. They have the ability to heal wounds, inspire hope, and create meaningful connections between individuals and communities.
