Biography

After spending 10 years in England working for different fashion companies, Ange Muyubira brought her love of fashion back to Burundi. Born and raised in Bujumbura, she wanted to come back home and start an organization that highlighted the vast array of talent and art in Burundi. In 2012, Kaz’O’zah was born.

After three years as a for-profit company – Kaz’O’zah Art – Ange decided to expand a nonprofit division – Kaz’O’zah Keza – to provide local artisans with the skills and financial literacy training needed to start their own businesses.

Over the years, Ange and Kaz’O’zah Keza have had the pleasure of partnering with and receiving financing from major organizations such as: Segal Family Foundation, UN Women, UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, Belgium Cooperation, Trade Mark East Africa, European Union to name a few. This support allowed them to serve over 17.000 artisans in 2022.

Ange is an active member of several boards and committees in Burundi and abroad. Winner of a few awards, Ange is well-known as a fierce and stylish advocate for Burundi and is making waves in the international markets.
